Pepe & Joey cook for Hoboken Boys & Girls Club

Ciao Amici (hello friends),

I’m honored to announce that on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 Joey and I have been invited to cook dinner in New Jersey for the Hoboken Boys & Girls Club for their annual fundraising party “An Evening with Two Guys from Hoboken”.

While that’s exciting on its own, we’ve just learned the Mayor of Hoboken will be presenting us with the Keys to the City!

As you may know, our families emigrated from Italy through Ellis Island over a hundred years ago, settling in Hoboken, New Jersey. It was there that Joey and I learned the importance of close family ties, strong work ethic, and where we each developed a sense of community.

Anyone who has seen the downside of disadvantage knows that the Boys & Girls Club is an organization worth supporting, and we’re proud to be a part of their important work. To return to my hometown for this event, and learn that Joey and I will be honored with a key to the city is deeply meaningful to me. I’m sure I speak for Joey in saying that this will be a momentous occasion for each of us. We hope that you will consider joining us at this exciting event.

Alla salute,

“An Evening with Two Guys from Hoboken

Dear Joey, I contacted Pepe, whom I worked for at Little Napoli and Cafe Napoli, anyway I did meet you, I am a born in Hoboken girl. You probably remember Sabatini Bakery. My son loves that you lived in Hoboken and Played for the CP Raiders.
Well, I asked Pepe to have you sign the book I bought him for Christmas, Pepe told me to send it, never heard from him again. I still have your bio and need an autograph, My mom and Dad live in Cliffside, remember Pauls and Son-Willow Avenue? They are in CP now, is there anyway my dad can drop it off to you? I live in Boise, coming back to CP as soon as I ca.

Please email me back if you can help. My son also worked for Pepe. Please Help.

    Sincerely
    Have a Very Merry Christmas.
    Pep’s Friend,
    Lorene Turek
